General Appeal to all UK Charitable trusts.
Dear sir / Madam,
I am making a general appeal to all UK charitable trusts to consider awarding a grant to Birmingham Community trust (BCT) towards the cost of our annual activities.
Since 26th October 2009 we have been running our activities by member donations, but due to recent unemployment problems we are now unable to run our activities from our own pockets and therefore we urge your trust to award a grant to help to continue our activities.
Birmingham Community Trust is a registered charity organisation set up on 26th October 2009 (No. 1134 696). We aim to help children of all ages living in deprived areas with inadequate facilities for play and education, and limited opportunities to go out of the area apart from school.
We also aim to promote any charitable proposal for the benefit of the public, in particular people of Multi Cultural Community. Another aim is to promote relief of poverty and distress in any part of the world including those people in need as a result of natural disasters or any other form of oppression. We also want to provide facilities for recreation and other leisure activities open to the general public. We aim to co-operate with other charitable bodies, statutory authorities and community organisations.
Owing to heavy demand from the community we have extended our activities and are now involved in the following:
